PRINCIPAL HIGH SCHOOL
Horizon High School

I am so thrilled to work with our students, families and staff as the proud Principal. I have been part of the Paradise Valley School district most of my life. I attended North Ranch Elementary, Desert Shadows Middle School, and graduated from Horizon High School. I received my BS in Business Management from the University of South Carolina at Aiken and my M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Boise State University. I taught in Phoenix Union High School District and Boise (ID) School District prior to coming home to Horizon. I started at Horizon as the Attendance Dean, was  Assistant Principal for eight years and I cannot be more excited to grow HHS into the future as the Principal. I grew up in this neighborhood, love this community and this school.  I'm proud to be part of Husky Nation!

Horizon High School

Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, I am excited to begin the next chapter of my life in Arizona with the warm weather, beautiful scenery, and home of the one and only Horizon Huskies. I began my career in education as a mathematics teacher in the Ferguson-Florissant School District for 9 years at McCluer North High School and the Instructional Support Leader for 1 year. My undergraduate degree was received from the University of Central Missouri, home of the Mules. I earned both my Masters in Educational Psychology and my Education Specialist degree in School Administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Passionate about education, I truly believe it is how we change the world. I am thrilled to join the Horizon family. Go Huskies!!

Horizon High School

As an alumnus of Desert Shadows and Horizon as well as a former classroom teacher at Horizon, it is always great to be a part of Husky Nation. After graduating from the University of Indianapolis with a BS in Sports Administration followed by a BA in Secondary Education with a Masters in Curriculum in Instruction from the University of Phoenix, I spent multiple years in both ESL-based immersion classrooms and science classrooms in the Dysart Unified District. From there, I came to Horizon to teach in the science department for 4 years before heading to Fountain Hills Middle School in 2018-2019 as the Dean of Students. I have additional advanced degrees in MS in Educational Leadership and an MS in Biology (with publication in Down Syndrome and Perceived Exertion through exercise research). I am currently also a professor for Paradise Valley Community College in the Life Sciences Division. I still believe, once a Husky, always a Husky.
