About Our School

Horizon High School is a proud member of the Paradise Valley Unified School District, serving students and families in North Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona.

We are one of five traditional high schools in our district that offer a comprehensive curriculum and many rigorous classes. At Horizon, we have been recognized locally, statewide and nationally for our academics, fine arts programs and athletics. Our motto is to use Pride, Courage and Respect in everything we do to succeed and achieve our goals to attain a better future.

National Merit Scholars

National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships determined through PSAT scores. There are approximately 1.5 million entrants each year. The graduating class of 2021 had three National Merit Finalists and six National Commended students.
