Important Note on Participation

We encourage Horizon students to participate in as many activities as they would like. There is a wide variety of academic, athletic, artistic, and inspirational clubs to choose from. If you need additional information about any of the clubs mentioned, please refer to the contact person listed for that club.

If you are interested in starting a new club, you must first find a staff sponsor. After you have a sponsor, please see Spencer in the S.I.C. office for the paperwork.

Listen daily to the 3rd-hour announcements for club information.

Horizon Mentors

Mentors are upperclassmen that assist incoming freshmen and new students to navigate their way around our campus.

Mentors help by meeting with their freshmen six times during the school year, being new student guides, volunteering their time at the many different events we have on and off-campus.

Mentors also attend additional training to assist them in helping their fellow students, themselves, family, and friends. This training includes but is not limited to Suicide Prevention classes, Stand Up, Speak Up event, and Youth Leadership Day.
