Counseling Office
At Horizon High School, our dedicated counselors eagerly meet with students as needed, whether upon request from the student, parent, or teacher, to ensure each student's academic and personal well-being.
Our counselors closely monitor students' academic progress, aligning with their goals and school standards. Additionally, counselors are available to schedule conferences at the request of parents, teachers, students, or themselves. Students and counselors convene early in the spring to collaboratively finalize course choices for the upcoming school year.
Schedule change requests
Official Schedules will be released on the first day of school. You may obtain a temporary schedule on your students scheduled Class Day. Any other viewable schedule is temporary and may change.

Counselor Assignments
Horizon Counseling Mission:
Our mission as school counselors is to help students develop the skills and knowledge needed for success in their personal, academic, and post-secondary goals.
Horizon Counseling Vision:
Our vision is to foster a holistic approach to student development, where personal and social support are essential elements of the educational experience, ensuring every student is empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
A counseling relationship requires an atmosphere of trust and confidence which must not be compromised by the counselor except where there is a clear and present danger to the counselee or to other persons. The School Counselor may share information gained in the counseling process for essential consultation with other appropriate persons specifically concerned with the student.
